9号目のペパーミントマガジンは、「KINKY DARK WAVE」と題し、
日本のウエストサイド発のダークでキンキーなカルチャーを本誌独自の視点でキュレーション。
カリグラフィー作家前西マドカ氏が手掛ける新ロゴで登場する巻頭フォトストーリーは写真を手掛ける須藤絢乃所蔵の1980年代のヴィンテージヴィヴィアンウエストウッドのフェティッシュなコレクションを身に纏ったツインズモデル、MARIAとSHIORIが登場。ヘア＆メイクアップは川上咲良氏が担当。
須藤絢乃の写真作品「VITA MACHINICALIS」のスピンオフ作品的な世界観となっています。

上記同チームでツインズ達のグラフィカルでフェティッシュなアザーカットも掲載。

本誌中盤には新ロゴを手掛けていただいた前西まどか氏の美麗で機知に富んだカリグラフィー作品の紹介。

そして巻末は1998年から2005年まで活動されていた写真家Kari-ssu-Mummyの作品を一挙に紹介。関西発祥と云われる90年代からゼロ年代初頭の「ゴスロリカルチャー」の核と言っても過言でない彼の作品をインタビューを交えながら最初期のストリートスナップ作品から後期の作品までを掲載。インターネットではほぼ閲覧不可能の作品をこの機会に。10代の頃の須藤絢乃も被写体として登場。須藤絢乃作品の原点になった伝説の作品たちをぜひご覧ください。

Hakka / The Peppermint Magazine has been renewed and is finally back.

The 9th issue of The Peppermint Magazine is themed KINKY DARK WAVE.
This issue curates dark, kinky culture originating from Japan’s west side, seen through the magazine’s unique perspective.

The opening photo story debuts a new logo created by calligraphy artist Madoka Maenishi.
Twin models MARIA and SHIORI appear wearing fetish-inspired Vivienne Westwood collections from the 1980s, selected from Ayano Sudo’s personal archive.
Hair and makeup are by Sakura Kawakami.

This visual world functions as a spin-off from Ayano Sudo’s photographic series “VITA MACHINICALIS.”

Additional graphic and fetishistic outtakes of the twins by the same creative team are also included.

In the middle section of the magazine, we present a selection of Madoka Maenishi’s exquisite and witty calligraphy works, created for the new logo.

The closing feature showcases a comprehensive selection of works by photographer Kari-ssu-Mummy, who was active from 1998 to 2005.
Often regarded as a core figure of the “Gothic Lolita culture” that emerged in the Kansai region from the 1990s to the early 2000s, this section traces his work from his earliest street snapshots to his later pieces, accompanied by an interview.

These works are nearly impossible to view online—this magazine is the only place where they can be seen.
Ayano Sudo herself also appears as a subject from her teenage years.
Please take this opportunity to experience these legendary works that became the foundation of her artistic practice.
